Product Update: Recruiter View, Applicant Inbox & More

We’ve got some new things for late fall and sharing it below.

Published December 2025 and will take about 4 minutes to read

We’ve got a fair amount to cover in this late fall update.

First, let’s dive right into our new ‘Recruiter View’.

A page with a view

We spent a fair amount of time learning exactly how recruiters were doing their initial screening process for new applicants. To our [sic] surprise, it wasn’t happening in the ATS – it was happening in Linkedin Recruiter.

The biggest reasons were a recruiter could quickly see the experience, location then save/hide that individual.

So, why not align with how recruiters are actually working and augment their flow with some of the data and bot blocking we’re doing at Boostie?

Our new card layout brings the familiar feel of Linkedin Recruiter right into Boostie and the ATS.

Along with quick scanning and screening of profiles, recruiters can also view the Fit Score for each applicant and a quick one-liner on why they received a specific score; all right on the card without the need to context flip. They can also Save or Hide applicants for shortlisting.

The goal is to handshake our marketing qualified leads (MQL) to recruiting qualified leads (RQL) without slowing down the shortlisting process or submission process in staffing.

We’ve updated the applicant drawer UX too – right from the drawer you now see what recruiters were the most important: contact info, full experience, education, question answers and full AI reasoning. And we’ve added our attribution and session info for those nerdy-ass marketers out there.

All Boostie customers have this now.

“It kind of looks like an inbox”applicant inbox

Another big change is how we display applicant fits and actions.

Previously we showed a static bar with fit at the top, but found everyone clicked on the cards b/c they begged to be clicked.

So along with the new recruiter view, we rolled out out Applicant Inbox – a quick filter for fit and an easier way to drill into reviewed, unreviewed and hidden applicants. And of course we show restricted applicants by out-of-geography, high risk, low fit or good ol’ fashioned knockout questions.

Someone said it looks like an inbox, so that’s how we’re rolling with it.

Recruiters can quickly see who they haven’t yet reviewed, filter by fit score and save people in their shortlist for further progression down the funnel.

It’s a fresh take on stale lists and we think it will ease some of the friction that comes with reviewing applicants.

Fine tuning

Another feature directly from customers was the concept of fine-tuning at the job level.

AI models do a really great job of pulling out skills and requirements from job descriptions, but sometimes there is information that lives inside the account manager or recruiter’s head. That information is foundational to how applicants should be assessed for that specific role.

Released 4 weeks ago, our fine tuning allows for, erm, fine-tuning our assessment model to pull in information that is absolutely required for a successful candidate. For example, the job description may say ‘SAP experience required’ but the recruiter knows that 3 years minimum SAP experience required – that small detail makes a big impact and is factored into the fit assessment for each applicant.

Quick stats

We look at aggregate stats and have seen some really interesting things over the past several weeks.

Avg. application completion rate: 91.52% – we’ve got something planned with this

Avg. application completion time: 63.7 seconds (that’s with 4.3 questions asked on avg.)

Talent Pool applicant percent: 40.68% – in other words, captured web traffic and existing candidates you didn’t have to re-buy from the job boards

Other things

  • We launched our Slack integration for hot candidate leads – MS Teams coming soon.
  • We created our version of abandoned cart emails – welcome abandoned application workflow.
  • 2 deep ATS integrations in the works.
  • We’re thinking a lot about Tony Hawk Pro Skater
  • We raised a small seed round with participation from Bullhorn Ventures

2026 is around the corner and we’ve got some fun things planned for the first part of the year. Have a great holiday season and reach out if we can help.
