It’s All Coming Together: Meet The Next Boostie

We’re launching our new platform, brand and direction in helping talent marketing pros own their marketing world and rely less on job boards.

Published October 2024 and will take about 3 minutes to read

I was fortunate enough to be a kid in the 80s.

We left the house at 9am on our bikes and we returned before it got dark. We’d pop in and out of each other’s houses, play Nintendo, rack up 20miles cruising the neighborhood; it was awesome.

We also had the best cartoons.

And one of my favorites was Voltron: Defender of the Universe.

If you’re completely unaware, basically there were 5 giant lion robots piloted by humans to defeat King Zarkon and Prince Lotor of planet Doom. Shit was deep.

Anyhow, the best toy I got in 1987? was the die-cast Voltron. You got all 5 lions, then could transform them and put them together to create the strongest force in the galaxy; you better watch out Prince Lotor.

Now for the segue, building separate products is great, but it’s when they come together that the magic happens.

The New Boostie platform

Boostie launched as a company about 18months ago and our first product was ready about 10 months ago.

During that time, we’ve seen the market start to get uneasy about having all their eggs in a big job board basket.

We originally launched with, what is now, our Promote product. That’s top-of-funnel targeting of potential talent based on occupation and affinity data across display networks.

While that was fine, we started noticing our early customers didn’t really have a great way to capture and segment website visitors. So we started thinking of this along with uncoupling our apply product from our landing pages.

We had the parts, but they weren’t together yet. That would take a few months to suss out the particulars, product direction, position and all that jazz.

Today

We’re very happy to unveil our new platform and approach to the talent marketing funnel.

All together, Promote, Capture & Apply give our customers an easy, non-agency dependent way to build a marketing engine specific for hiring teams.

  • Promote – top of funnel ads on display, search and soon social
  • Capture – trigger-based forms to capture career site visitor intent and interest
  • Apply – an e-commerce inspired application process that is easy on applicants and clients

I’d be silly not to mention Automation & AI too.

We have baked it into the product at every level; things you may not ever see like audience matching and spelling fixes on job descriptions.

That’s not as sexy as Chatbot 5000 drawing pictures and talking back to applicants in Darth Vaders voice, but that’s ok with us. We view AI as a framework; not a feature.

In Promote, we use AI to generate ad copy and creative, update job descriptions and match the right audiences based on the job particulars.

In Capture, we’re using matching to help get the right client jobs in front of their talent pools.

And Apply? we use AI to create an index to more accurately qualify applicants based on the job, their resume or question responses.

Oh, and let’s not kick boring-old automation out just yet; our rules-based engine is currently helping companies with different job functions ask the right questions per job without needless (and often undone) busywork. The result is a simple way to qualify talent on the intake in a way that’s as easy as buying a pair of shoes online.

What’s next?

We have 2 more tricks up our sleeves and we’ll be rolling those out in the next few months.

For now, we’re going to focus on making our current toolset easier for our customers to deploy and give them the fully-formed Voltron of talent marketing.
