This Privacy Policy explains how Boostie, Inc. ("Boostie," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects your information when you use our website at boostie.com, our application at app.boostie.com, and our Microsoft Teams application (Boostie Bot) (collectively, the "Services").

Our Services are intended for use in the United States only. We do not market, sell, or direct our Services to individuals or organizations located outside the United States, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals outside the United States. If you are accessing our Services from outside the United States, please be aware that your use is not supported by Boostie.

We value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. Please read this policy carefully. By using our Services, you acknowledge the practices described here.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Website Visitors

When you visit boostie.com, we may collect:

  • Name and email address (when voluntarily submitted, e.g., via demo requests or contact forms)
  • Information you provide in demo requests or other inquiries
  • Usage data through analytics tools (see Section 7, Cookies and Tracking Technologies)

2.2 Job Applicants

When you use the Boostie application to apply for positions, we collect:

  • Name, email address, and phone number (if provided)
  • Resume, work history, and application responses
  • Additional personal information requested as part of an application
  • Communication preferences

We also collect certain anonymous technical data associated with your visit, including IP address, approximate city, region/state, country, browser type, and device type. This information is used in aggregate form and is not linked to your identity.

2.3 Microsoft Teams Integration (Boostie Bot)

Boostie Bot is a Microsoft Teams application that is part of the Boostie service. When you or your organization installs and uses Boostie Bot, we collect and process:

  • Teams channel information — the channels through which notifications are delivered
  • Team identifiers — to associate notifications with the correct team workspace
  • Tenant identifiers — to identify the Microsoft 365 tenant associated with your organization

This data is collected and processed solely for the purpose of delivering candidate lead notifications within your Microsoft Teams environment. We do not use this data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond the delivery of the Boostie service. This data is handled in accordance with all other practices described in this Privacy Policy.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Delivering our Services — processing job applications, routing candidate information to employers, and delivering lead notifications via Boostie Bot
  • Communications — responding to demo requests and sending job alerts or service-related communications (with your consent where required)
  • Service improvement — analyzing usage patterns to improve performance, reliability, and features
  • Security and fraud prevention — monitoring for unauthorized access and maintaining the integrity of our Services
  • Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable laws and regulations

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Employers — we share job application information with the employers you apply to through our Services
  • Service providers — we engage trusted third-party providers (e.g., cloud infrastructure, analytics) who process data on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using your information for any purpose other than providing services to us
  • Microsoft — use of Boostie Bot is subject to Microsoft's applicable terms and privacy policies in addition to this Privacy Policy
  • Legal requirements — we may disclose information when required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Boostie, our users, or others
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy:

  • Application data is retained for the duration of our agreement with the relevant employer
  • Application data is automatically deleted 90 days after agreement termination, unless you request earlier deletion or we are required by law to retain it longer
  • Microsoft Teams data (channel, team, and tenant identifiers) is retained only for as long as your organization's Boostie Bot integration is active and is deleted upon offboarding
  • Website visitor data collected through analytics tools is subject to the retention policies of those tools (see Section 7)

You may request earlier deletion of your information at any time by contacting us at privacy@boostie.com.


6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

  • Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure with SOC 2 certification
  • Encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest
  • Strict role-based access controls
  • Regular security assessments and monitoring

While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, no security system is impenetrable. We encourage you to use strong passwords and to notify us immediately at privacy@boostie.com if you suspect any unauthorized access.


7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on boostie.com to:

  • Understand how visitors use our website (analytics)
  • Remember your preferences
  • Improve the performance and functionality of our Services

To submit a California privacy request, contact us at privacy@boostie.com. We will acknowledge your request within 10 business days and provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days. If we need additional time (up to 45 more days), we will notify you in writing.


9. Children's Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@boostie.com and we will promptly delete it.


10. Third-Party Links

Our website and Services may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.
